Getafe immuniary region - JUAN DE LA CIERVA area, began its activity in 1999, in the neighborhood of Juan de la Cierva de Getafe, municipality of the province of Madrid.
The name of the neighborhood was put in honor of the famous engineer who worked in the town. It is the second most populated neighborhood of the city with 32,160 inhabitants, the second largest with 12,072 homes and one of the most important and influential in the municipality. It occupies the center-northeast area of the municipality and has avenues and squares very commercial and crowded by the Getafenses. The neighborhood was built in the mid-1970s in order to enlarge the city. It has a civic center, the Municipal School of Music and the fairgrounds.
